Below is a mostly comprehensive list of tools, devices, and sensors that senior design has in various storage locations. Many items need to be accessed with the help of a TA. If you don’t see what you need on the list make sure to check out Wendt and Team Lab.

Power Supplies: We have a wide array of power supplies that are kept in 2109. Some are capable of 10 Amps, and there is one power supply stored in 1234 that is able to produce a negative voltage. Please ask a TA for help grabbing a power supply.

Oscilloscope: Two oscilloscopes are kept in 2109 at the electrical station and can be accessed with the help of a TA.

Function Generator: A signal generator is stored in the cabinet at the electrical station in 2109.

Measurement Devices: There is a drawer located near the electrical station that holds various measuring devices such as thermometers, a multi-meter, and voltage detectors.

Typically camera equipment can be found above the Resource Wall in the back of 2109. If you don’t see what you need please ask a TA. Additionally, please reach out to a TA if you intend/want to take something out of the room.

Light Box: The lightbox can be setup and used to take images that showcase smaller objects in a clean and well lit environment. This can be useful for presentations, posters, and reports. Hue Doc Cam: The doc cam can be used as a way to take close-up images of small objects. The camera has a manual focus that is able to capture high fidelity images of objects on the scale of writing on a coin. Tripods: The tripods can be setup to record a given design experiment or test from various angles.

Manometer: There are two manometers kept in 2109 that can be used to measure pressure for a given system.

PH Sensor: The lab has access to a high end sensor that can be setup to read and record PH data. Please speak with a TA about accessing and using the sensor.

Spectrum Analyzer and RF Signal Generator: Both a RF analyzer (left) and generator (right) are kept in a drawer in 2109 and can be accessed with the help of a TA. These can be used to read and generate RF signals respectively.

DAQ: There are LabView DAQs located in 1234 that can be used to monitor and record data. Reach out to a TA to gain access to one of these units. You will also need to setup your sensors and LabView program.

Scales: There are two scales located above the sink at the back of the room in 2109 that can be used at any time.

Vacuum Chamber and Pump: There is a small vacuum chamber and pump that are kept in 1234, you will have to ask a TA for access.

Hot Knife: A hot knife is kept in a locked drawer in 2109 and can be accessed with the help of a TA. The hot knife is particularly useful in cutting through foam, ropes, and fabrics.
